Menassa and U.S. Defense Attach© Discuss Army Support and State Authority Plan

Beirut: Minister of National Defense Major General Michel Menassa met with U.S. Defense Attach© in Lebanon, Colonel Jason Belknap, at his Yarzeh office to discuss ongoing military collaboration between the two nations.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Colonel Belknap commended the strong partnership and cooperation between the Lebanese Army and the United States, underlining the critical need to continue supporting the army across multiple sectors. The meeting's agenda included preparations for an upcoming conference in Paris focused on bolstering the Lebanese military institution.

Additionally, Menassa and Belknap deliberated on the second phase of the Lebanese Army's strategy to extend state authority throughout Lebanon. They reviewed the mechanisms adopted for implementing this plan, aiming to enhance governance and security across the country.

The talks also addressed the ongoing Israeli violations and the role of the ceasefire monitoring committee. This committee is crucial in monitoring such violations, reducing their adverse effects on Lebanon, and hastening the Lebanese Army's execution of the agreed strategies.
