Intensified Israeli Airstrikes and Artillery Shelling Across Southern Lebanon

Beirut: The town of Hamoul has once again become a focal point of conflict as it endured another wave of airstrikes and artillery shelling, exacerbating the already volatile situation in Southern Lebanon. The intensified military activity in the area has raised concerns over escalating tensions.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, a powerful explosion orchestrated by enemy forces took place near Naqoura in the Tyre district, specifically targeting residential areas. The assault adds to a series of aggressive actions, including an Israeli warplane's airstrike on the Sidon-Tyre highway in the Borj Rahal area, marking the third such attack since yesterday.

The situation remains precarious along the axis of Naqoura, Hamoul, Tayr Harfa, and Al-Bayada, where Israeli air raids have intensified. These air raids coincide with concentrated artillery shelling at the entrance of Naqoura, close to the main headquarters of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

In addition to these areas, the outskirts of Rashaya Al-Foukhar and the heights of Kfarchouba in the Hasbaya district were also subjected to artillery shelling. This escalation of military activity has heightened the risk to civilian safety and regional stability.

Further airstrikes by Israeli warplanes targeted the area between Ain Abu Abdullah and Al-Matariyya. The Arzi-Borj Rahal bridge was also a target in the ongoing military operations. An additional airstrike hit a secondary road next to the Qasmiyeh bridge, which had been under attack the previous day; journalists on-site narrowly escaped harm during this incident.
