Beirut: The Ministry of Public Health’s Emergency Operations Center announced on Monday that an Israeli airstrike on the Al-Rihab area in Beirut’s southern suburbs resulted in one fatality and injuries to 17 individuals.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the casualties include 10 Lebanese, six Syrians-among them four children-and a woman from Kenya. The airstrike has raised significant concerns and condemnation from various international and local entities, highlighting the ongoing tension in the region.
The Ministry’s statement underscores the severity of the incident and the impact on the local and expatriate community. Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene to provide medical aid and transport the injured to nearby hospitals. The situation remains tense as authorities continue to assess the damage and coordinate with international bodies regarding the airstrike.
