Beirut: Information Minister, Attorney Dr. Paul Morcos, praised the national positions and initiatives expressed by President Joseph Aoun in Bkirki. Morcos stated that these actions clearly reflect the Lebanese state's constants and its commitment to sovereign responsibilities.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Morcos highlighted President Aoun's statements that negotiation is not concession and diplomacy is not surrender. He emphasized that ongoing contacts aim to stop violence and destruction, demonstrating the state's determination to assert its authority and sovereignty across its territory while preserving Lebanon's unity and stability. The Minister also noted the importance of safeguarding Lebanon's legitimate institutions.
Morcos commended President Aoun's focus on preventing strife and rejecting actions or discourses that could harm civil peace. He urged all Lebanese to rally around the state and its institutions, emphasizing the need for calm and national solidarity during this sensitive period.
