Beirut: Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros al-Rahi on Wednesday received Saudi Ambassador Walid Bukhari in Bkerke, where discussions focused on current developments and ways to support stability and state institutions in Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Bukhari conveyed Saudi leadership's greetings, praising Rahi's national role and stressing the need for wisdom, support for constitutional authorities, and strengthening national belonging as a foundation for recovery.
Talks also addressed historical and intellectual perspectives on Lebanon's crises, emphasizing lessons learned and the importance of rebuilding common ground among the Lebanese. Both sides highlighted the need for political rationality, dialogue initiatives, and seizing opportunities for national consensus.
Rahi reaffirmed commitment to national constants, human dignity, and collective responsibility to rebuild the state, praising efforts to support Lebanon's stability.
