Economy Minister Discusses Strengthening Economic Ties with Japanese Ambassador

Beirut: Minister of Economy and Trade, Amer Bisat, on Wednesday received Japanese Ambassador to Lebanon, Kenji Yokota, in his office at the ministry. The meeting was centered around discussions on enhancing economic and trade cooperation between Lebanon and Japan.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions underscored the exceptional facilities provided by Japan to Lebanon, including reduced customs duties. These measures are expected to facilitate increased Lebanese exports. Furthermore, the dialogue included Lebanon's official participation in Japan's Expo and the adjustment of the scheduled in-person meeting between business leaders from both nations to a virtual format, due to prevailing circumstances.
