Salam Congratulates Iraq’s PM-Designate, Reaffirms Bilateral Ties

Beirut: Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, on Thursday held a phone call with Iraq's Prime Minister-designate Ali Al-Zaidi, congratulating him on his designation and wishing him success in forming a new government. Salam expressed hope that the upcoming cabinet would meet the Iraqi people's aspirations for security, stability, and prosperity, while reaffirming Lebanon's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Lebanese Prime Minister emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Salam also highlighted the historical ties between Lebanon and Iraq, expressing his eagerness to work closely with the new government to further develop these relations.
