Beirut: MP Ali Fayyad on Monday stated that the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc is not seeking confrontation with the authorities or internal conflict. He warned of a political trajectory being imposed on Lebanon due to Israeli military pressure and U.S. threats. According to National news agency - Lebanon, Fayyad, speaking at a Hezbollah memorial in Beirut's Bir Hassan, criticized the government's negotiation strategy, labeling it as weak and confused. He accused the government of making concessions without securing any benefits and underestimating the associated risks. He noted that even Arab and European nations, which support direct negotiations, have expressed serious concerns. Fayyad called for a comprehensive ceasefire as a necessary precondition for any progress, rejecting direct contact with Israel and advocating for indirect negotiations instead.
