Beirut: Minister of National Defense, Major General Michel Menassa, on Tuesday received the newly appointed Kuwaiti Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammed Sultan Al-Sharji, at his Yarzeh office, where he wished him success in his new diplomatic duties in the country.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, the meeting focused on the general situation in Lebanon and the region amid current developments. Both officials emphasized the importance of respecting the ceasefire in Lebanon and called for an end to ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory.
The Kuwaiti Ambassador reaffirmed his country's unwavering support for Lebanon and its citizens, underlining Kuwait's respect for Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Ambassador al-Sharji also highlighted Kuwait's commitment to providing support across various fields.
Major General Menassa expressed his sincere gratitude for Kuwait's steadfast support of Lebanon, particularly during its challenging times. He also voiced hope for successful negotiations aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict in Iran and the Gulf region, noting the negative impact on Kuwait and other countries in the region.
