Kanaan Meets British Ambassador to Discuss Ceasefire and Support for Lebanese Institutions

Beirut: Head of the Lebanese-British parliamentary friendship committee MP Ibrahim Kanaan met with British Ambassador to Lebanon Hamish Cowell at the parliament to discuss recent developments in Lebanon and the region. The meeting also explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two nations.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, talks between Kanaan and Cowell addressed Britain's role in supporting Lebanese efforts aimed at consolidating the ceasefire and ending ongoing conflicts. The discussions emphasized the importance of reinforcing stability in Lebanon through collaborative initiatives.

Further discussions centered on the support for Lebanese state institutions, with a particular focus on strengthening the Lebanese army. This is part of broader efforts to enhance internal security and maintain stability within the country.
