PM Nawaf Salam Discusses Situation in South Lebanon and Ceasefire Efforts with Army Chief


Beirut: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Friday received Army Commander General Rudolph Haykal, with whom he discussed the situation in the south, efforts to consolidate the ceasefire, and the security situation in Beirut.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the meeting between Prime Minister Salam and General Haykal centered on assessing the current security challenges in the southern regions of Lebanon. The discussions aimed at ensuring stability and maintaining the ceasefire that has been a crucial aspect of the peace process in the region.



The talks also highlighted the broader security situation in Beirut, emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts between the government and military forces to safeguard the capital and its residents.
