Tyre District Hit by Heavy Israeli Airstrikes, Causing Widespread Damage

Beirut: Tyre and several towns and villages across the district witnessed some of the most intense Israeli airstrikes yesterday, targeting commercial shops, healthcare facilities, residential buildings, and homes, resulting in extensive damage. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hiram Hospital in Tyre sustained significant losses. Chairman of the hospital's board, Salman Eidibi, stated: "Following the airstrike that targeted the Popular Rescue health center adjacent to Hiram Hospital, this marks the second time the hospital has been affected by Israeli aggression." He added that the strike injured six staff members from the administrative, nursing, and maintenance teams, in addition to causing severe damage to the building's glass facades. He emphasized: "We will continue to carry out our humanitarian duty toward our people. These attacks on medical personnel will not deter us from fulfilling our responsibilities." He also called on the international community to ensure the protection of hospitals and medical staff. Earlier today, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike on the Al-Zayata neighborhood in the southern town of Ansar, targeting a house and completely destroying it. Meanwhile, the National News Agency correspondent reported that hostile drones were flying at low altitude over the city of Baalbek and surrounding villages.
