Beirut: Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, on Wednesday received Dr. Charbel Massaad, who handed him a copy of the final statement issued following a national gathering held in Jezzine under the title: "Preserving Civil Peace Amid Legitimate Political Differences."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Massaad emphasized the significance of such inclusive national meetings amid Lebanon's sensitive circumstances. He highlighted their role in promoting dialogue, strengthening civil peace, and fostering communication among different communities.
Discussions during the meeting also addressed several issues concerning the Jezzine area, notably the necessity of establishing a branch of the Lebanese University in the district. Furthermore, broader developmental, social, and living conditions were also part of the agenda.
