Beirut: A series of Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling targeted several areas in southern Lebanon on Monday. The outskirts of Al-Qatrani village in Jezzine were struck by an Israeli air raid.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in the Tyre district, the towns of Al-Mansouri, Al-Qulaylah, and Al-Haniyeh were hit by airstrikes and phosphorus shelling. Israeli warplanes also carried out heavy raids targeting villages in the western sector of the Tyre district. This coincided with intense artillery and phosphorus shelling on towns, villages, orchards, and forested areas in southern Tyre.
Separately, an Israeli drone strike targeted the town of Al-Shahabiya in the Tyre district, resulting in reported injuries. Another drone strike hit the Al-Jabal Al-Ahmar area in the town of Harouf, also causing injuries. Meanwhile, the towns of Kfar Tibnit and Nabatieh al-Fawqa were subjected to intermittent artillery shelling.
