Beirut: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Monday chaired the regular ministerial meeting at the Grand Serail, where ministers reviewed political, security, and humanitarian developments. Information Minister Paul Morcos stated that discussions included updates on military-level negotiations initiated in Washington and Lebanon's ongoing diplomatic efforts with friendly and sister countries to restore and reinforce the ceasefire.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting also focused on the displacement crisis, with Morcos revealing plans for a comprehensive report to be released on Tuesday. This report will cover the past three months of shelter and displacement response efforts. Furthermore, Lebanon is set to launch an international Flash Appeal on Friday to meet the growing needs of displaced persons, as resources continue to dwindle.
Defence Minister Michel Menassa provided an update on the latest military developments, highlighting the government's commitment to addressing both internal and external challenges through coordinated efforts.
