Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Monday told International Chamber of Commerce Secretary General John Denton that Lebanon's private sector has long been the backbone of the national economy and played a key role in sustaining economic activity during the country's most difficult periods.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Aoun stressed that the Lebanese state is working to restore confidence, strengthen stability and advance essential reforms, describing them as the foundation for attracting investment and creating jobs.
