Netanyahu Asserts Israel’s Ongoing Stance Against Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions

Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted that "Israel will continue to thwart the threats it faces," emphasizing that Iran "will not possess nuclear weapons, whether an agreement is reached or not."

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Netanyahu stated that "Israel has succeeded in reducing the threat emanating from Hamas, as well as from the northern front," noting that "the strikes against Hezbollah were powerful and led to the destruction of the majority of its missile capabilities," stating that what remains of its arsenal does not exceed 8 percent.

Regarding Iran, Netanyahu indicated that his country "is working to create the appropriate conditions for the downfall of the Iranian regime," but clarified that its overthrow is not a declared objective, adding that "no one knows when the regime in Iran will fall."

He also noted "differences in some positions with US President Donald Trump," saying, "Sometimes Trump and I disagree," while simultaneously affirming that he was not wrong when he called for removing the existential threat to Israel.

Netanyahu said he believes the matter with Iran "is not over yet," indicating the continuation of the confrontation with Tehran on various levels, as reported by Sky News Arabia.
