Bassil Discusses Regional Stability and Bilateral Ties with Bulgarian Ambassador


Beirut: Free Patriotic Movement chief, MP Gebran Bassil, on Wednesday received Bulgarian Ambassador to Lebanon, Iassen Tomov, in his office. The meeting was also attended by MP Nicolas Sehnaoui and Rami Meneem from the FPM’s Department of Foreign and Diplomatic Relations.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the discussions focused on the overall situation in Lebanon and the wider region. The dialogue extended to the relations between Lebanon and Bulgaria, exploring ways to enhance these ties across political, economic, and cultural dimensions.



The FPM Central Media Committee highlighted that the meeting addressed the pressing challenges Lebanon currently faces, particularly the need to establish a comprehensive ceasefire throughout Lebanese territory. The conversation underscored the significance of supporting stability in southern Lebanon and explored potential avenues for joint cooperation between Lebanon and Bulgaria, with a special emphasis on developmental and investment opportunities.
