Froun Mayor Says Lebanese Army, UNIFIL Deployed in Town; Israeli Blast Damages Homes

Beirut: Froun Mayor, Hassan Adel Bazzi, on Monday said there are no Israeli forces inside the town, confirming that the Lebanese Armed Forces and United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon are deployed there. He added that a considerable number of residents have returned following their forced displacement.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, several homes in the towns of Majdal Zoun and Mansouri were damaged by explosions carried out by Israeli forces on Tuesday evening. The mayor said only a small number of families remain in Mansouri, while Majdal Zoun is still largely deserted because Israeli forces continue to prevent residents from returning to their remaining homes.

Separately, a drone dropped a sound bomb near Ghassan Daher Quarry on the Ibl al-Saqi road.
