Geagea Backs State Institutions, Urges Continued Framework Process

Beirut: Lebanese Forces leader, Samir Geagea, on Friday speaking after meeting President Joseph Aoun with a Strong Republic bloc delegation, said the president, government and Parliament constitute the state and that their decisions must serve as the reference for all.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Geagea stressed that no genuine state can exist without one army and one authority over arms, while all parties must assume their responsibilities without exclusion. He also urged Aoun to continue implementing the framework agreement, saying that although it was not the preferred option, no viable alternative remained.
