Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Friday met with Army Commander, Rodolphe Haykal, to review the security situation across Lebanon, particularly in the south, amid continued Israeli attacks on several towns and villages. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the pair also discussed preparations to implement the provisions of the framework agreement in the designated pilot areas, where the Lebanese Army is expected to deploy simultaneously with an Israeli withdrawal. The meeting further covered the army's nationwide missions, as well as the needs and conditions of the military institution and its personnel.
