Berri Mourns Former Qatari Emir’s Passing, Recognizes Support for Lebanon

Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri sent a cable of condolence to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, following the passing of the former Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Berri expressed profound sorrow and acceptance of God's will, describing the late Emir Sheikh Hamad as a leader and devoted father who dedicated himself to Qatar's progress, stability, and the well-being of its people.

Berri stated that Lebanon and its people mourn the loss of a friend, recalling Sheikh Hamad's support for Lebanon. He praised the late Emir as a source of comfort during challenging times and a supporter of Lebanon's unity, stability, and development through his words, actions, and positions.

On behalf of himself and the Lebanese Parliament, Speaker Berri extended deepest condolences to Sheikh Tamim, the Al Thani family, and the Qatari people, praying for the late Emir's eternal rest and for Qatar to continue to enjoy security, stability, and prosperity.
