Beirut: Fuel prices edged up in Lebanon on Friday, with 95-octane gasoline increasing by LBP 43,000, 98-octane gasoline by LBP 42,000, and diesel by LBP 91,000, while gas cylinder prices remained unchanged.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the new prices are as follows: 95-octane gasoline is now priced at LBP 2,277,000, 98-octane gasoline at LBP 2,294,000, diesel at LBP 1,938,000, and gas cylinders remain at LBP 1,115,000.
The price adjustments come amidst ongoing economic challenges in Lebanon, where fuel costs have been a significant concern for residents. The increase in prices is expected to impact various sectors, with transportation and logistics being among the most affected. The unchanged price of gas cylinders provides some relief to consumers who rely on them for domestic cooking purposes.
