Palestinian Ambassador and Lebanese Minister of Public Works Discuss Enhanced Bilateral Cooperation

Beirut: Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammad Al-Asaad, on Thursday met with Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, to explore avenues for strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise between their respective ministries.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussion centered on expanding technical and institutional collaboration in areas of shared interest. Ambassador Al-Asaad outlined the Palestinian Ministry of Transport and Communications' initiatives to enhance bilateral cooperation with Arab and friendly nations. The dialogue also included the potential establishment of an agreement between Palestine and Lebanon for the mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses, adhering to existing laws and regulations.

The meeting further delved into strategies for coordinating efforts to address road and public works requirements in Palestinian refugee camps and their surrounding regions. Both parties emphasized the necessity of maintaining robust communication and coordination to advance the interests of the two communities.
