Damascus: Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa met with UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres and his delegation at the People's Palace in Damascus. The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani and several other officials.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between the Syrian Arab Republic and the United Nations in both humanitarian and development areas. The talks also concentrated on supporting Syria's early recovery and reconstruction efforts.
The meeting further emphasized the importance of respecting Syria's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, as reported by the Syrian news agency 'SANA'.
