Beirut: Lebanese Army Command said that Israeli forces continue to carry out attacks and violate existing ceasefire understandings and international law through the systematic destruction of homes, shelling, machine-gun fire, land bulldozing, and the burning of olive groves and agricultural land across several areas in southern Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in an issued statement by the Army's Orientation Directorate on Sunday, it indicated that the Israeli forces have demolished a water facility belonging to the Litani River Authority in Markaba and opened fire near army positions in Kfartebnit, Nabatieh al-Fawqa, and Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh, disrupting its operations.
Meanwhile, the Army Command said it is continuing to facilitate residents' return to Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh and carrying out security missions there and in Froun and Srifa to ensure citizens' safety, in coordination with the Military Coordination Group for Lebanon (MCG4L).
However, the statement indicated that the ongoing violations are obstructing the completion of the Army's deployment under the existing understandings and preventing displaced residents from returning to their villages and the restoration of stability in southern Lebanon.
