Beirut: Lebanon's Foreign Ministry strongly condemned what it described as an attack on Saudi Arabia's security and sovereignty through an attempted drone strike on oil facilities in the kingdom's Eastern Province and the Riyadh region launched from Iraqi territory.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in a statement, the ministry reaffirmed Lebanon's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its commitment to the kingdom's security, stability, and territorial integrity. It welcomed Iraq's decision to open an investigation into the incident, saying efforts to confront military activities by non-state actors in Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen are a shared and ongoing challenge aimed at enabling states to exercise full sovereignty over their territories through their legitimate national institutions.
The ministry also renewed its condemnation of Iranian ballistic missile launches toward Jordanian territory, which it said had been acknowledged by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, describing the attacks as a blatant violation of Jordan's sovereignty and a threat to regional security and stability. It reaffirmed Lebanon's full support for Jordan in safeguarding its security, stability, and territorial integrity.
