Baabda: Minister of Labor Dr. Mohammed Haidar emphasized the importance of enforcing laws to regulate foreign labor in the bakery sector, ensuring legal employment and safeguarding food security, following a meeting with President General Joseph Aoun.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Haidar also addressed the need to regulate the external transport and trucking sector. He mentioned that the ministry is waiting for input from unions, especially with the reopening of Gulf markets, including the Saudi market.
Haidar highlighted progress in forming a new Board of Directors for the National Social Security Fund, which will soon be presented to the Council of Ministers for approval. This marks a significant development, as it will be the first formation of a new board in over 25 years.
