Sport Hall of Fame Elects First Administrative Committee for Four-Year Term

Beirut: The General Assembly of the Sport Hall of Fame Association elected its first Administrative Committee for a four-year term, headed by Raed Gerges, in accordance with the association's bylaws and internal regulations. The committee comprises Raed Gerges as President; Ghayath Dibra as Vice President and the association's representative to the government; Wadih Abdelnour as Secretary General; Saeed Ghabris as Treasurer; and Ibrahim El Dassouki as Accountant. Ali Khalife was appointed advisory member, while Jalal El Beaino was named advisory member and media officer.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the election follows the completion of the Founding Committee's one-year mandate, during which it oversaw the association's affairs and completed a series of procedural and organizational steps. The association was officially registered under No. 987, dated July 24, 2025.

At a regular session preceding the election, the General Assembly approved the administrative and financial statements, covering the association's activities and founding expenses. It also established a Board of Trustees and adopted internal regulations governing its work. The association has also begun outreach and introductory meetings in Lebanon and abroad and launched its social media platforms.

At its first meeting, the newly elected committee decided to hold the inaugural ceremony next year honoring the first class of Lebanese sports legends - including athletes, administrators, clubs and national teams - who will be inducted into the Sport Hall of Fame. Preparations for the inaugural event are already under way.
