Baabda: The General Directorate of the Lebanese Presidency of the Republic, following directives from President Joseph Aoun, organized a significant blood donation campaign at the Baabda Palace. This event was conducted in collaboration with the Lebanese Red Cross and saw the active participation of President Aoun, along with numerous presidential staff members and employees.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the campaign was overseen by key figures from the Lebanese Red Cross, including President Dr. Antoine Zoghbi and Secretary-General George Kettaneh, along with other colleagues from the organization. Dr. Zoghbi emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, "As you know, blood is life. His Excellency the President wanted to launch the blood donation campaign today from here, the Presidential Palace, to underscore that this represents a culture of life, love and openness to all, embodied in providing blood to all Lebanese."
Dr. Zoghbi further highlighted the Lebanese Red Cross's primary mission, especially during this critical period, which is to facilitate such humanitarian efforts. He concluded by praising the example set by President Aoun, noting, "This is the good example being set today from the Presidential Palace by His Excellency the President."
