The discussions between the two leaders also encompassed regional developments and relations with the Arab world, Iran, and Western countries.
Al-Zaidi reaffirmed Iraq's commitment to the policy of openness toward all sides that his government has pursued. He also announced plans to visit Lebanon in October, emphasizing Iraq's ongoing support and assistance to Lebanon in its time of need.
