Beirut: National News Agency correspondent reported that several young men on motorcycles attempted to enter the town of Kfar Tebnit on Sunday, crossing toward Nabatieh al-Fawqa and reaching Kfar Tebnit's roundabout, when an Israeli drone flew overhead. Moments later, Israeli forces fired several artillery shells toward them, apparently to intimidate them and force them to turn back. The group returned without any injuries.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, following the incident, the Lebanese Army, stationed in a nearby checkpoint, prevented vehicles and motorcycles from proceeding toward Nabatieh al-Fawqa after a number of residents gathered in the area. Nabatieh al-Fawqa Mayor Zein Ghandour said some young men had reached the Kfar Tebnit junction and roundabout. He said he was coordinating with the army and relevant authorities to allow residents to enter Nabatieh al-Fawqa and Kfar Tebnit, stressing that there were no Israeli forces in both towns, and calling for the army to enter ahead of residents to ensure their security and safety.
