Iran Rejects New Talks with the U.S. Despite Trump’s Comments

Tehran:No new discussions are currently scheduled between Iran and the United States, as reported by Iran's official IRNA news agency. This announcement follows U.S. President Donald Trump's suggestion that negotiations might soon resume. According to National news agency - Lebanon, a source close to the Iranian delegation at the UN General Assembly in New York stated that the delegation "does not intend to hold negotiations with the United States." Trump had expressed to Axios on Sunday his expectation that talks with Iran would resume the following week, despite having dismissed Tehran's proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days.
