Maronite Council Dean Praises Bishop Audi’s Sermon on Unity

Beirut:Head of the Maronite General Council, Wadih El-Khazen, commended the points raised in Bishop Elias Audi's sermon, highlighting the importance of unity in Lebanon. El-Khazen noted Bishop Audi's warning against arrogance, condescension, and the labeling of others as traitors, which he believes threaten Lebanese unity and coexistence.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, El-Khazen issued a statement emphasizing that political disagreements do not justify insulting or accusing others of treason. He stressed that no one has the right to monopolize patriotism and truth.

El-Khazen further asserted that justice cannot be achieved through injustice and that nations cannot be built on hatred and division. He called for an end to the mentality of exclusion and score-settling, urging a return to state, law, and justice.

He concluded by stating that Lebanon does not belong to any single party and that the dignity of the Lebanese people must be preserved. The nation's interest and unity should take precedence over all other considerations.
