Sayed Refutes Al-Akhbar Accusations, Asserts Transparency in Travel Documentation

Beirut:Social Affairs Minister Hanine Sayed has dismissed allegations made by Al-Akhbar newspaper regarding her official travels and related expenses, asserting that these are recorded in Cabinet decisions.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Sayed addressed these claims on X, stating that her trip to Italy was funded by the Italian government, and she refuted the assertion of a subsequent trip to Egypt as false.

She emphasized the importance of having a communications team accompany ministers to document official work, which she believes enhances transparency and informs citizens about the activities of public officials.

Sayed also criticized the newspaper for disseminating unverified information, urging it to verify facts before making any claims.
