Raggi Receives Memorandum for UNIFIL Mandate Extension and Credentials from New Ambassadors

Hanoi:Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raggi received a parliamentary delegation that presented him with a memorandum urging the extension of the UNIFIL mandate. The memorandum, signed by 86 MPs, calls for reconsideration of UN Resolution 2790, arguing the resolution's implementation is unfeasible due to the ongoing Israeli occupation.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Raggi informed the delegation about the ministry's efforts to extend UNIFIL's mandate and explore alternative solutions through diplomatic channels.

In a separate meeting, Minister Raggi welcomed the new Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Tamim Hani Abdel Moneim Khallaf, who presented his credentials. They discussed Lebanon's general situation, regional affairs, and the importance of enhancing bilateral relations.

Additionally, Raggi met with the newly appointed Iraqi Ambassador, Mohammed Reza Al-Husseini, who also presented his credentials. The meeting emphasized Lebanon's dedication to strengthening ties with Iraq.
