Jakarta:Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian participated in a meeting of Al-Makassed Islamic Charitable Association's Board of Trustees, which was led by Diana Tabbarah.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, Tabbarah announced the association's decision to request a delay in court proceedings with the Islamic Orphanages Association to promote a peaceful resolution.
Derian expressed approval of this initiative, emphasizing the need to safeguard the educational, healthcare, and charitable objectives of both organizations. He reiterated Dar al-Fatwa's backing of Al-Makassed and urged for unity among Lebanon's Islamic institutions.
The meeting also covered discussions on Al-Makassed schools' religious education programs and updates on its hospital.
