Jakarta:Berri House Speaker Nabih Berri emphasized that national unity is crucial for addressing the problems and crises faced by Lebanon. He assured that his relationship with President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam remains positive, with continuous communication among them.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, Berri underscored the importance of national unity, describing it as the sole means to overcome the nation's challenges. He emphasized that Lebanon must rely on this unity to address various issues.
Berri highlighted the importance of resolving the electricity crisis, likening the power supply to essential needs such as water and air. He mentioned discussions with Prime Minister Salam, stressing the urgent need to address the power supply issue.
Berri also advocated for attracting international investors to rejuvenate Lebanon's electricity sector through a build-operate-transfer model. He noted that Prime Minister Salam has expressed a strong interest and willingness to collaborate on this matter.
