Beirut:Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Minister Youssef Raggi recently engaged with a joint delegation from the Khiam Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture and the Qana Human Rights Observatory, led by Mohammad Safa.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, the delegation submitted a memorandum detailing the situation of Lebanese detainees in Israeli prisons. The document emphasized the obstacles faced by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in visiting these detainees and evaluating their conditions.
Furthermore, the delegation presented a detailed draft proposal concerning the detainees' case, seeking the Foreign Ministry's assistance to raise the matter at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva during its forthcoming session in March.
Minister Raggi expressed his gratitude for the delegation's visit and committed to pursuing the humanitarian concerns they outlined.
