Jbeil:A Lebanese army unit discovered an old, unfinished tunnel in the Aqoura area of Jbeil during training exercises on October 20, 2026. The tunnel was found while the unit was conducting routine exercises within its designated sector.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, a specialized military team was dispatched to inspect the tunnel following its discovery. The inspection revealed that the tunnel was incomplete and lacked any equipment or contents.
Further investigations are currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the excavation of the tunnel.
