Abu dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Martial Arts Academy (ADMA) has been officially accredited by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), marking it as the first academy in the UAE to gain such recognition. This accreditation allows ADMA athletes to compete in national and international tournaments. According to Emirates News Agency, the accreditation highlights ADMA's commitment to excellence in martial arts training. The academy offers a variety of disciplines, including Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, focusing on both physical and mental aspects of training. Its facilities boast advanced training environments with areas dedicated to ground fighting, a specialized cage for martial arts, and a gym tailored for strength and endurance building. Tarek Al Bahri, General Manager of ADMA, expressed pride in this achievement, stating, "We are proud of this accreditation, which reinforces our vision to become the premier destination for developing mixed martial arts sports champions in the UAE." He emphasized that this status would enable the academy to train athletes who can compete at top levels worldwide. Andrew Moshanov, IMMAF Director of Sport Development, acknowledged ADMA's role in the region, noting the academy's leadership in adopting international standards and its significant number of internationally qualified coaches. Moshanov highlighted the academy's proactive participation in IMMAF's educational and training programs. IMMAF President Kerrith Brown commented on the broader impact, noting that the UAE is emerging as a significant hub for martial arts development in the Middle East. Brown praised IMMAF's involvement in promoting educational values of the sport, particularly for the youth in the region.
