Representative of Lebanon’s fuel distributors, Fadi Abu Shakra, told the National News Agency on Tuesday that 140 gas stations had refused to receive gasoline from companies “because of the humiliation, blackmailing, and attack they are being subjected to.”
“They could not protect themselves,” he said, calling upon the security forces and Major General Imad Othman to defend the facilities.
“Gas stations’ owners and fuel distributors are not the cause of the crisis,” he maintained. “They are facing pressures and problems due to (fuel) quantity shortage.”
