Amman: The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) in collaboration with Tkiyet Um Ali (TUA), a renowned donation platform in Jordan, has initiated a nationwide campaign to distribute food parcels to families in need. According to Jordan News Agency, the campaign's initial phase involved handing over the aid to beneficiaries at TUA's Distribution Center in Amman. This effort is part of a broader agreement between ACC and TUA aimed at supporting TUA's programs and activities that assist impoverished households across the kingdom. The memorandum of understanding between the two organizations includes plans to distribute food parcels to approximately 1,428 underprivileged families in various governorates of Jordan. The initiative also encourages members of the ACC to participate in voluntary activities to deliver the aid. Falah Sagheer, a member of the ACC Board of Directors, emphasized that the distribution of the aid represents the first phase of the campaign. He mentioned that the remaining parcels will be distrib uted throughout the governorates during the current month, following a schedule set by TUA. Samer Balqar, the Director General of TUA, highlighted the organization's commitment to enhancing cooperation with private sector institutions. He stressed the importance of involving various stakeholders in sustaining food support programs. Tkiyet Um Ali currently provides ongoing food assistance to 20,000 families living below the food poverty line across Jordan. The monthly food parcels distributed by TUA contain 20 essential food items, ensuring substantial support for the beneficiaries.
