Baghdad The Acting Minister of Electricity, Adel Karim confirmed that he will not remain in the ministry if he does not receive the required support.
Karim said in a televised statement: “We need 35,000 megawatts to stabilize electricity, and the actual electricity production is 19,500 megawatts.”
He added: “The non-disbursement of financial allocations greatly affected the energy supply,” noting: “The ministry has not received any dinars from the current year’s budget so far.”
