Ajloun Cable Car to welcome visitors Friday

Ajloun Cable Car, also known as the Ajloun Teleferique, in the northern region of the Kingdom will welcome visitors as of Friday from 11 am to 6:30 pm. In a statement on Thursday, Khalaf Humeisat,Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZ), indicated that ticket prices are affordable, costing JD4 for Jordanians and JD8 for foreigners, while children under the age of three can get on the ride free of charge. The project will provide a new tourism and investment industry in Jordan, to be one of the pioneering projects in Ajloun city and the Kingdom, Humeisat said, citing it is a golden opportunity for the business community to step up their investment in the tourism sector, specially that the governorate is rich in religious and historical sites in addition to forests. He also noted that the project will become a tourist attraction for those wishing to embrace the beauty of Ajloun’s skies and forests. Speaking about the project’s public security and the sustainability of operating systems, he underscored that all safety, control, calibration and operational examination of the cable car system and cabins have been completed within several hypothetical operational scenarios for different weather conditions and for variable and multiple operational loads using multiple tonnage and weights designated for this purpose.
