AKAR BROACHES DIRE LIVING CONDITIONS WITH GLC DELEGATION

Deputy Prime Minister, Caretaker Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zeina Akar, on Monday welcomed a delegation representing the General Labor Confederation (GLC) headed by Bechara Al-Asmar.

Talks reportedly touched on the current crisis in Lebanon, especially in terms of the deteriorating living and economic conditions, and the severe market shortage supplying medicine, gasoline, and other vital materials.

Talks also touched on the ration card and the means of financing it, as well as on the means to implement it — now that the House of Parliament has issued a ration card law, according to a statement by Akar’s press office.
