KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait Touristic Projects Company has concluded the feasibility study for the Al-Khairan resort, setting the stage for a significant tourism and economic development project aligned with the country's strategic goals. According to Kuwait News Agency, the study's completion marks a critical step towards realizing the ambitious project, which will cover an area of 800,000 square meters. The planned development includes the construction of two hotels and 200 chaltes, aiming to enhance Kuwait's tourism infrastructure and economic growth. The company is currently collaborating with various government departments to establish the necessary legislation to initiate this large-scale project. Sheikh Mohammad Salman Al-Sabah, the chairman of Kuwait Touristic Projects Company, emphasized that these efforts are part of the broader "New Kuwait 2035" development strategy. This national strategy aims to diversify income sources, create employment opportunities, and stimulate economic activity across the countr y. Further elaborating on the company's portfolio of projects, Sheikh Mohammad highlighted the South Al-Sabbahia Winter Land project as a key attraction for the 2024-2025 season. Additional ventures include the Al-Nuwiaseeb entertainment facility and the South Sabbahia park, which is scheduled to open its doors in November. He also mentioned the signing of a contract for the Al-Mangaf entertainment facility, set to launch in 2026, and discussed the ongoing renovations at Messila beach and other seaside areas. This series of projects underscores Kuwait's commitment to expanding its tourism sector as a crucial part of its economic development plans.
