Damascus: Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani told "Sky News Arabia" that the biggest challenge facing the Syrian government is reconstruction. Al-Shaibani added: "In short, the biggest challenge facing Syrians today is reconstruction, and that's why the government considers it a top priority."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, al-Shaibani noted that Syria has "about four million destroyed homes" and that "entire cities have been bombed," stressing that 2026 will witness the launch of "a real economic development process aimed at rebuilding the destroyed infrastructure and homes."
He explained that Damascus succeeded in bringing in approximately $60 billion through memoranda of understanding and contracts signed during the past period.
