Damascus: Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa announced on Sunday evening a new agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) aimed at a ceasefire, strengthening state authority in the eastern and northeastern regions of the country, and establishing security and stability in conflict zones.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the agreement includes the transfer of all rights to oil fields to the Syrian government, in addition to integrating all SDF elements into the Ministry of Defense. The agreement also stipulates the entry of state institutions into the eastern and northeastern provinces to bolster government administration and expand Damascus's influence in those areas.
