Amnesty International: Israeli Strikes in South Lebanon Constitute War Crimes

Beirut: Amnesty International said Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon killed 24 civilians, including 12 children, within one week, concluding that the attacks amount to war crimes.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the report examined three separate strikes that wiped out three Lebanese families. Amnesty called for an immediate international arms embargo on Israel and urged Lebanon to grant the International Criminal Court jurisdiction to investigate and prosecute those responsible. The organization stressed the need to end impunity for alleged violations of international humanitarian law.
